About Us
The Lower Hutt Miniature Makers’ Club, was founded in 1983 with a passion for all things dollhouse miniature. It is still a welcoming and warm community of hobbyists and creators.
Our club is made up of a wonderfully diverse group of members, spanning various ages and backgrounds, united by our enjoyment of creating miniatures. We share ideas, techniques, and the joy of crafting in a friendly environment.
Whether it’s experimenting with new techniques or diving into engaging workshops and projects, there’s always something happening. The club is not just about crafting—it’s about forming lasting friendships, exchanging knowledge, and building on our skills.
For those eager to learn and grow, the club also boasts a fully stocked reference library, packed with Miniaturists Magazines and books, available to all members. It’s a great resource for new ideas and perfecting your craft. Come join us, and let’s create something beautiful together!

We meet every third Saturday of the month at the Salvation Army Hall on Cuba Street in Petone, between 10am and 3pm. Come along and and see what we are about. (We do take a break in December and January, so don’t pop in then!).
